Where Does Stress Come From?


Things that happen at work, in the home and in the community are typically seen as the main sources of stress.  Most of the external environment is where a stress situation comes from.  Some stress situations include traffic, screaming children, air toxins, processed food, deadlines, the economy, medications, anything in the daily news, etc. etc.. Most of these things we have very little physical control over, if any.  How are we supposed to deal with all this?  Or are we….?

All unmanaged stressful situations from our external environment can create divided emotions.  These emotions respond internally having an urgent effect on the body.  We call this effect stress.  This can result in creating even more external stresses.  This is called “the emotional causation and external situation stress loop”.  So where does stress really start? Emotions or environmental situations?  Typically it is said that stress comes from a situation that tips an emotion.  But suppose an emotion tips the situation?  What then?  From this point on why don’t we begin to look at stress and its origins from another perspective?

THE MAIN IDEA: stress over this!

One if stress isnt originally from an external situation at all?  Supposed if what is stressing us externally had nothing to do with who we really are?  Imagine what is stressing us internally really IS who we are?  Why is the cause of stress mostly associated with things we do or things we become involved in and not who we are inside?  So how is it we are supposed to become stress free if it keeps happening from the outside?  Should we stop trying to be stress free?  Maybe stress is meant to support us more than destroy us?  Could it be that we need to take control not by understanding what stress is in order to prevent it, but by understand where it comes from and what we can become WITH it?  

They currently agree in our culture that the primary source of stress is external.  They keep trying to remedy this with other external means.  They will never lead us to an ultimate solution for a stress free life with these remedies simply because there isn’t one!  We must now look inside ourselves to find another remedy in order to live through stress. It is only within an understanding into what stress IS to us that will help us process our daily lives more effortlessly.  Now lets look inward as the primary source of stress and see how that feels!

HOLD YOUR SPACE & STREEETCH YOUR

MIND!

A certain amount of stress is needed within the body to hold space while maintaining form and performing its many functions.  When holding space it is important that your life energy  flows at its best in that moment.  Your space can be created through transforming your urgent physical and mental intension into action.  With stress now having an internal emphasis it is no longer harmful.   Stress becomes part of an internal cohesiveness rather than an external situation.  Stress now becomes supportive and transformational rather than destructive.  You thrive with internal stress while “holding your space”.   With no “emotion causation and external situation stress loop” there is peace within your united stresses.

  • THE INTERNAL STRESSES ARE MUCH MORE SUPPORTIVE THAN THE OUTSIDE STRESSES.
  • STRESS IS NOT TO BE  AVOIDED EXTERNALLY BUT RATHER MEANT TO BE PROCESSED INTERNALLY.
  • WE DO HAVE THE CAPACITY TO HEAL OURSELVES.
  • WE SHOULD FOCUS ON THAT WHICH IS SUPPORTIVE.
